Zodiac sign astrology, also called star sign or sun sign, is what newspapers and lots of populistic media do exclusively. I'm fine with that, but the problem is that they rarely do it properly.
Especially the daily horoscopes using the twelve Zodiac signs actually rarely do that. They write their predictions with little or no concern for what astrology actually implies. They don't care where the sun is in the sky or what aspects it might have to the planets, though that's what Zodiac sign astrology is based on.
So, I made sure to compose the above website in accordance with actual classical astrology. It may not be as entertaining, but I find it much more interesting.
I often stop on your site that I really like, it allows me to escape and think of other things .... What happiness! Thank you .

Stefan, I found your website on Astrology and Horoscopes earlier this year and i have to say...out of all the sites I have viewed while learning it (I'm new to it) yours is by far the most accurate and fascinating. Its also very easy to follow which I appreciate! I'm Sagittarius and 2012 was the most difficult, emotional, and even tormenting year of my life (I'm 43) and early this year I found your site. ReplyDeleteDo you put a lot of stock in "dominant-sign"/"dominant-planets" algorithms, on sites such as astrotheme.com?
On www.astrotheme.com they use some kind of algorithm to determine what they call "3 dominant signs" for someone. Astonishingly, according to their algorithm, it is possible to not even have the Sun sign listed in what they call "three dominant signs"!
For example, the American actor Dustin Hoffman, despite having Sun in Leo, is listed on their site as Capricorn/Virgo/Cancer, and Leo doesn't even make it into his top 3:

Is it even accurate to assign big weights to other attributes in the horoscope such that they (in some cases) move the Sun completely out of the top 3 "dominants"? I was very surprised when I saw this, but there's a lot of misinformation on the web.
In contrast, for example, their algorithm for Vladimir Putin (who has nothing in Leo except Pluto and MC) gives Leo as his 2nd dominant sign:

They describe their algorithm here -- and it seems they give much less attention to the Sun than to the Ascendant, especially the planet that rules the Ascendant (not the Sun). This is completely new to me. Is this even accurate?

One more thing. Could you describe the significance of the North Node? In your USA horoscope it's in Leo but there was no note of it. Thanks
I use a lot of "weighing" regarding the importance of each planet, and it depends on the particular horoscope and its details. I wouldn't like doing it with some kind of formula, though, since that is less adaptive to the characteristics of each horoscope.
DeleteAs for the North Node, it makes a line across the horoscope with the South Node, describing a kind of general direction of the person (or country) of the horoscope chart. It can go either way - from north to south or south to north. Sometimes the direction is clear by other aspects, sometimes not. In the latter case, it can very well go both ways.

If you can answer a question, it is:
1.What is the influence of the governments of the second and eighth houses in squaring?
2. The fact: Does ruler the 2nd house (Saturn) in the sign of the oposite house (8th house) and inside of the 8th house, help relieve a tension caused by the fact that Saturn is at 29 degrees?
3. Does the same fact of question 2 alleviate the tension caused by square the rulers (Moon and Saturn) of opposite houses?
If necessary about Venus and Pluto: Venus retrograde to 27.12 degrees of Lion, in the 9th house (semisextile with Saturn, sextile with the Moon). Pluto at 8.12 degree in Libra in 10th house.
