New Vice President for Obama?

Horoscope for the Presidential Election in 2012
I was mistaken about the result of the 2008 presidential election, when I first examined Obama's horoscope chart earlier that year. So, maybe I should refrain from speculating about the 2012 election? Naah.

I later realized that already when Barack Obama's political career commenced, by winning a seat in the Illinois State Senate in 1996, this was marked by astrological events in his 12th House. That's the House of sacrifice and hardship. Normally, this House indicates failure instead of success, which is what fooled me at first...

  1. Thank you for such a thorough article -- I've been keeping this in mind and then this appears today:

Robert Reich is so highly respected, I'd change my running-mate solely based on his ideas, regardless of astrology -- but I think the reading is starting to be validated.

  2. Psychocosmos, that's an interesting possibility. Back in 2008, I predicted Hillary Clinton would leave politics - and she sort of did, by leaving the Senate for Obama's administration, thereby changing from elected to appointed. Recently, she announced that she would also leave that role, saying farewell to politics.

But in that arena, a goodbye is not always final. So, I hurried to check her transit horoscope for the election day in 2012. There are some intriguing transit aspects, but I doubt that they lead to the White House.

The impression I get is closer to some kind of honorable retirement. She might get a distinguished position outside or sort of above the calamity of politics.

The Vice Presidency is kind of like that, of course, since it's a fine title but a job in the shadows.

So, I'm uncertain. I would need to ponder her transits more, but at this point my guess is that she really will leave the Washington D.C. battlefield, but her retirement from it might not be completed until after the election.

Still, the Reich blog spotlights what Obama needs to change in order to win the election, and someone like Hillary Clinton would certainly do it.

  3. Update, November 7, 2012

So, I got it kind of right about Barack Obama and the election. He won it, and with a margin bigger than expected at the moment of it. With 303 to 206 electoral votes he exceeded Mitt Romney with almost 50%. Also in actual votes, 60,366,456 to 57,572,116 (according to the New York Times website today), he had a significant lead, although far from as steep: 5% more than Romney got.

It was interesting that the outcome of the election got increasingly uncertain as the date of it approached. That was like a mirror of the uncertainties evident also in his horoscope.

At November 10, 2011, when I wrote the above forecast, I guessed that the most likely thing to explain his transit Pluto trine was a change of Vice President. It turned out to be the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, declaring that she would not accept the position a second term. True, she has been a more important "comrade in arms" of President Obama than Joe Biden ever was. She went public about it in early December, 2012. I had guessed later the same month. It's likely that she started to consider it seriously already in February 2011.

Anyway, Barack Obama lost his partner and astrologically speaking, it actually helped him win the election. If there would have been no change of that dignity in his administration, his chance of getting reelected would have been smaller.

We will soon learn with whom Obama intends to substitute Hillary CLinton. But according to the horoscope it has much less baring on his situation, since the Pluto transit is now fading away. It meant very much upto the election, not after it. A partner had to leave for him to win. Now that he has won, and it's his second term, he can relax.
